ASSMANN WSW Information about current impact on upcoming deliveries to our customers and distributors in connection with increased COVID 19 infections in China

As you may have read in the media, there has been an increase in infections with the COVID 19 virus in numerous provinces in China. This has led to the government in China taking appropriate measures, which have led and continue to lead to "lockdowns" in the affected regions. 

Impact on production sites

All production sites in the Chinese province of Shenzhen have currently been closed for the period from March 14, 2022 up to and including March 20, 2022.

In the Chinese province of Dongguan, individual districts have been closed. The affected manufacturing facilities must, from the current perspective, also close for the period from 15.03.2022 up to and including 21.03.2022.

Impact on the logistics chain

Currently, all sea freight shipments outbound from Shenzhen and Hong Kong have been stopped. Thus, no shipments are taking place at the moment.

In the whole Chinese province Shenzhen, as well as in parts of the province Dongguan, services of UPS and DHL have been stopped.

We are currently checking which orders are acutely affected and will inform you separately about expected delays for the delivery of your products.
