Traceability by introduction of an individual lot number

ASSMANN WSW group has globally introduced a continuous and IT system controlled production lot number to ensure 100% traceability. By introduction of this new lot number, the extensive and time-consuming process of manually retracing products by date code has become obsolete. Every lot number is unique and contains, besides all necessary tracking data, the date of production (date code). Traceability back to respective production lot is thus guaranteed. In case of any product-related questions or complaints, a significantly quicker determination of the root cause is well possible. At the same time, the new production lot number guarantees that no tin-plated connector is older than 12 months on date of dispatch. The new ASSMANN WSW group IT system (NAV2015) automatically makes sure that no shipment containing parts older than 12 months will be released. Production date of delivered goods will be disclosed upon request.
